Barbara Robertson: An Australian artist’s life

ISBN: 978-0-646-50897-9

Written by South Australian author, Lorraine McLoughlin, this biography celebrates the art of an Adelaide born artist and sets Robertson in an historical and social context in South Australia, highlighting what was happening in the art world and to women at the time.

Her story is supported by 30 photographs by her internationally renowned photographer father, Eric Robertson. But it is the fine art of Robertson which speaks for itself and there are 60 paintings reproduced in full colour across a range of genres including portraits and self-portraits, still lifes, life studies, social commentary, religious art and concerns for indigenous Australians. A DVD in the back cover has interviews with Barbara filmed in 2008/2009.
